A broad range of work is on offer to an employment lawyer with some pensions experience at this large financial services group. Working closely with the transactional and advisory corporate team, this hire is required to work primarily on restructures and the selling, buying and moving of business on non-contentious employment matters including TUPE. It is also expected that you will work with external lawyers on detailing pension arrangements as businesses are moved, with the aim of bringing longer term legal spend in this area down. The litigation team will also need support in the area of contentious employment matters such as SMR, disciplinary issues and employment matters rising from investigations.
This person needs to be experienced individual with at least 4 or 5 years PQE. In-house experience is not required; however, you need to be comfortable dealing with senior management. Broader experience is preferred and experience working on employment matters relating to corporate transactions would be most useful.
