A junior lawyer is being sought to join the small products legal team of an established retail banking organisation. The role will require you to provide advice on a range of matters, assisting in managing legal risk. The main focus of the team is mortgage and savings products, and lending and savings activity, but is not limited to this and you can expect to gain wide and varying experience. You will respond to queries from stakeholders and work with new and existing business areas, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
We are looking for someone with at least a years’ experience and your expertise is likely to be in regulatory matters with strong drafting, negotiation and influencing skills. A focus on retail or business banking would be ideal but specific product or mortgages experience is not essential. Exposure to financial services or experience of working in a regulated environment would be beneficial as you are trained and developed by a very experienced team. We are looking for someone who can evidence strong values in line with the organisation.
