We are currently looking for a commercial lawyer with strong contracts experience to support this is insurance company on a fixed term basis covering a maternity leave. The current incumbent has excellent relationships around the business and supports the procurement team with contracts as they arrive, helping to negotiate terms. Excellent processes are in place and working well so it is expected that someone experienced and organised could drop in and hit the ground running. Some contracts could be quite complex and many are IT and software contracts. Insurance experience is not essential but there is also the opportunity to get involved in other work around the department such as policy wordings and supporting the compliance team with regulatory work if it suits.
This is a position within a company experiencing strong growth. The legal team is cohesive and ambitious, people are genuine and help each other out and everyone chips in. There is plenty of quality work and standards are high meaning the legal team is well respected internally. Flexible and hybrid working is on offer as well as the possibility of a 4 or 5 day working week. You need to be at least 2 PQE with strong commercial contracts experience but there is no upper limit on PQE.
