The commercial contracts legal team of a large insurance broker is currently seeking a junior lawyer to come on board and deal with a broad variety of commercial matters. As well as contracts, the team cover change projects, corporate governance and some regulatory changes where they relate to agreements. You will look at all sorts of trading, insurance distribution and client facing agreements, escalated NDAs, broker letters, and delegated letters of authority, as well as non-insurance contracts such as marketing, sponsorship, and supplier related contracts. You will have access to senior management and get involved in committees even at a junior level as you also pick up work that doesn’t fit into a particular team. This is a great opportunity for someone aspiring to management and general counsel roles in the future due to the broad nature of the work.
For this position we are looking for a qualified lawyer with up to 3 years’ experience. You should have some financial services experience and some contracts experience will also be required. This is a particularly collaborative team and fit will be important in an environment where colleagues work to support each other.
