Data Privacy Counsel, Global Fintech

A global established but still growing financial services company is seeking a senior data privacy lawyer to cover a maternity contract of up to 15 months. The role holder will continue to develop and implement the privacy programme reporting into the Head of Regulatory while working on a range of complex privacy and data protection matters. You will be required to drive initiatives forward encouraging consistency across the jurisdictions and staying ahead of global privacy requirements. You will work as part of a wider legal and regulatory team and have a large number of senior stakeholders, but also be expected to liaise with product, technology and innovations teams across the organisation. The role will cover data protection impact assessments and incident management. You will be the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and a mentor internally to the data privacy team.

A talented individual is required, who is able to adapt to an innovative and entrepreneurial working environment. You should have experience leading in the data privacy space and be confident enabling commercial developments within a fast-paced environment.
