A global legal team of a large consultancy is currently looking to hire 2 data privacy lawyers to work as part of an established transactional legal team. Working with privacy leaders across the world you will be focussing on implementing privacy impact assessments, developing the PIA programme and contributing to a high standard data privacy team. You will question, review, instruct local counsel in various jurisdictions and test the local teams to ensure compliance and you will also work on broader DP issues also and deal with requests and queries from the business. This is not a post box role and you will be required to deal with the issues and work at fast pace.
Working here will never be dull. You will be working for a company where there is a big push on innovation and technology such as blockchain, artificial intelligence etc. so your work will be constantly evolving. It is an organisation with a global reach and a high degree of professionalism which is competing and keeping up with the agile, new and funky technology companies. Being a larger organisation offers you career progression but not always into the role you might expect. Employee turnover is very low meaning that you will be working with specialists who will train, support and mentor you.
We require lawyers with solid data protection experience, specifically GDPR. International experience will be an advantage and a curious, questioning mindset.
