Back to vacancies
An in-house opportunity for an employment lawyer is now available with a familiar brand in financial services. A variety of work is on offer as our client builds out the team and work flows are restructured which means we are looking for someone who is flexible and prepared to cover all areas of employment law. In many ways this is a typical in-house employment workload; managing external counsel in relation to litigation, covering general advisory work around discipline, grievances, and redundancies as well as working on SMCR, conduct rules and the individual accountability regime, revisiting and looking at how things work in practice. TUPE work, outsourcings and some M&A will also be on the agenda as well as providing advice on complex subject access requests.
This could be your first move in-house or you could already be working within a financial services company. You must have some SMCR knowledge but it is not necessary for you to be an expert in all areas of employment law so long as you’re prepared to be flexible. You should have the gravitas to face off to senior and time-short stakeholders. You will be rewarded in terms of job satisfaction, and this is a really nice place to work – somewhere you will be respected and where people care.
