It’s a great time right now to join this international organisation with a mission as a Lawyer in the newly formed Legal Department. Having recently listed, this established bank but relatively new fintech is about to go through a substantial period of growth with lots of both local and geographical expansion of an already international business.
As the legal team’s payments lawyer you will work with large clients such as other big banks, large charities and international aid organisations. Your role will be to enable the business, working with sales and new products teams as you negotiate contracts and deal with a broad remit of legal queries. Whilst the products can be relatively straight forward, you will be required to build playbooks and create new processes being proactive where the previous legal support has been reactive. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in driving forward an agenda and building the legal function and offers lots of ownership within the fintech space.
You won’t need heaps of payments experience for this role, but some, or at least some fintech experience would be valuable. You could have trained in practice or in-house and should have around 3 years’ experience. You will be offered an excellent work life balance with no burn out and lots of flexibility.
