In-House Lawyer, Fintech

Old Street, Market rate, permanent
Back to vacancies

A senior lawyer with prior in-house experience is being sought to join a funky Fintech at scale up point. Having recently secured extra funding, more legal support is required as the team move towards strategic and expansion work. As the senior lawyer in a small team you will need to support and supervise the work of junior lawyers whilst dealing with your own caseload of commercial contracts work as well as regulatory and more general in-house legal duties. Commercial work will include many different types of contracts including platform agreements, engagement letters, T&Cs, outsourcing and managing contractual relationships. There could also be a requirement to support the DPO and you will certainly be involved in product development. There will be an opportunity to get involved in wider legal issues such as regulatory matters, complaints and litigation and trademarks.

For this position we are looking for someone who already has some in-house experience and is very commercially minded. Ideal experience would be in the investments, regulated lending or technology space and experience of prior scale-ups or working in a large organisation would be useful.
