The head office of a major financial services institution is currently looking to hire a lawyer to join an active Head Office M&A team. In addition to working on acquisitions in the emerging markets, and sales in the more mature markets, as part of the central international team you will be assisting with bespoke deals and special projects such as green investments. Executing the ambitious strategic plan is the core purpose of this team and you will be interacting with inspirational people on a daily basis from the senior management to the corporate finance team, around the globe. You will be expected to run and negotiate deals with little assistance. Technical excellence as well as confidence will need to be demonstrated.
Large scale international M&A experience, in particular within the emerging markets as well as sophisticated UK and US deals, is key to this role. Ideally you will be able to speak French although the team speak and work primarily in English. Insurance or regulatory experience would be beneficial but not essential and you should be prepared to travel, sometimes without much notice. You should have the enthusiasm and drive to take on more and embark in an ambitious career.
