A senior commercial contracts lawyer with either insurance experience or an interest in moving into the insurance industry is being sought for the legal team of a large insurance broker based in the City. The legal department provide support across the EMEA region to a wide range of insurance and reinsurance business and asset classes. The commercial legal team cover a broad range of activity outside of pure commercial contracts including governance, projects, changes in legislation and changes to internal processes. Commercial contracts be a range from trading agreements, insurance agreements, MSAs, NDAs, outsourcings, broker letters, delegated letters of authority to distribution agreements. The current team is 5 but an increased workload requires the team to grow, and you can expect to support and supervise junior lawyers.
To be considered for this role you should be at least 5 years qualified with substantial commercial contracts experience with some financial services or the insurance industry. You will benefit from working with an experienced and established team who are particularly collaborative and work hard to support each other. There is lots of possibility for you to shape the role as you develop relationships with the business.
