We are currently looking to recruit an experienced employment litigator to head up the small employment team at a growing and diverse financial institution based in the heart of the City of London. They have a large caseload of high profile employment litigation matters as well as governance issues around accountability and therefore the focus will be on the contentious side, whereas non-contentious experience will also be useful for some business as usual work in conjunction with the HR department. You will have the gravitas and credibility to influence key senior stakeholders in the business as one of your areas of focus will be dealing with high level disciplinary matters.
The person we are looking for needs to be an experienced individual who is comfortable moving in senior circles and presenting to senior people. We will consider people with a mix of contentious and non-contentious experience, but you should be aware that this is a mostly contentious role. You will have a strong private practice background and a good understanding of the issues affecting the financial services industry in the current climate. A commercial, pragmatic approach is essential and some previous in-house experience would be preferred.
