This entrepreneurial real estate company based in the West End has a diverse portfolio of investments and developments. In line with sustained business growth they are looking to recruit a driven and self-motivated construction lawyer as their first in-house counsel. Working very closely with the CEO your varied role will include establishing a legal framework for the business as well as taking control of all contracts and litigation and overseeing external legal advisors when appropriate. Although the focus of your workload will be construction you will also be involved in real estate, general commercial and some employment matters.

The ideal candidate will be an intelligent and commercially astute construction lawyer with prior litigation experience and the gravitas and communication skills to influence key stakeholders in the business from an early stage. With circa 5-10 years pqe you will be a dynamic individual able to think outside the box and with an entrepreneurial approach.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who will relish the challenge of starting a legal department from scratch within an exciting business.
