A reputable financial services client is seeking a seasoned Data Privacy Lawyer to head up the function in their dynamic legal department. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact projects, including payments initiatives, financial crime, third-party arrangements, and data sharing with regulators and law enforcement. You will be instrumental in applying practical legal solutions to complex situations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks within a major financial institution. The successful candidate will manage one team member and report directly to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within a financial services context. Experience in a similar role within a large banking group structure is highly desirable. Strong practical legal skills are essential, as you will be required to provide actionable advice to various departments, including in relation to strategic M&A. The position offers a supportive environment and a strong internal network.
