A busy legal department is looking to hire a commercial insurance lawyer to cover a maternity leave for a 12 month period. Working for a top brand in insurance you will be part of a high calibre, collegiate team and will have plenty of experienced and interesting people to work with. The focus of your work will be insurance distribution, commercial deals and partnership projects. This will include supplier contracts and intercompany agreements.
The successful applicant will have at least 5 years post qualified experience with good quality training either in a law firm or in-house. Insurance distribution experience is essential as you will need to integrate with the business and sales teams from the start. Personality will also be really important for this role as they continue to carefully build the team with people who really work well together.
This position is only suitable for applicants looking for a contract position. There is no presenteeism culture, and although some office time will be required initially to handover and build relationships when business returns, it is expected that there will be considerable home working. It is therefore essential that you are able to work well autonomously.
