Insurance/Re-Insurance Lawyer
We’re currently supporting the Headquarters of a client with the hiring of a senior lawyer from an insurance and reinsurance background. This position will be based in the vibrant heart of Paris and will involve working on group-wide strategic projects and mitigating risk. You will review and monitor changes in legislation, support in crisis management and bring (re)insurance expertise to legal matters. You will oversee legal aspects of insurance and reinsurance programs whilst considering reputational risk. You will be the lead on litigation reporting and monitor any sensitive litigation. You will liaise with other legal teams as well as other group functions such as finance, risk and compliance, investor relations and HR. A litigator would be best suited to this role but you should expect to also cover a wide range on non-contentious work such as contract review, governance projects, business restructuring, policy development, etc.
To be considered you should be at least 7 years qualified and have strong international experience. You will ideally have prior in-house experience and should be happy to be based in Paris.
