This is a strong opportunity for a structured finance or securitisation lawyer to join a leading financial services organisation in a broad, high-quality in-house role supporting treasury, capital optimisation and funding activity.
This position sits within a specialist legal team advising senior stakeholders across finance and treasury functions on complex structured finance transactions and related regulatory matters. The role offers exposure to a wide range of asset classes and structures, with genuine involvement in transaction structuring from inception through execution.
Key responsibilities include advising on the structuring, negotiation and execution of structured finance transactions, including securitisations, asset sales, risk transfer transactions and insurance-linked structures. You will support capital optimisation initiatives and be required to draft and negotiate transaction documentation. You will monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting structured finance and manage external counsel whilst developing and maintaining internal legal templates, policies and procedures.
You should be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 4 years experience in structured finance/ securitisation with any derivatives experience being a bonus. You will be confident working in a fast-paced, transactional environment. This would suit someone looking for their first move in-house or looking for a step up within financial services.
